Outstanding Service Award

For sustained and significant career-long contributions to the Materials Chemistry community, together with other evidence of their standing in the international community.
 
When nomination/applying, you will be required to:
 
  • upload a copy of the nominee's CV in PDF format
  • provide a brief summary (maximum 300 words) describing the achievements of the nominee/candidate in the development and/or application of a branch of science associated with materials chemistry.
  • list up to five career-based publications associated with research into the development and/or application of a branch of science associated with materials chemistry. For each research output, add a statement of (maximum 50 words) explaining and justifying the impact or significance of the work.
  • detail the nominee's contributions to the scientific community (including, but not limited to the RACI and the Materials Chemistry Division). This can include research supervision, mentoring and advice and other professional activities such as grant and peer review, University service and discipline contributions, identifiable benefits outside academia (maximum 200 words).
  • provide the details of 3 referees
 
Self nominations are allowed.
 
Nominees must be current financial members of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute.
 
Nominations are to be submitted online (link on this page).
 
Members will be advised when nominations are open for submission.
 
Following the deadline, no additional applications or nominations for the award will be considered.
  
If the selection committee determines that no candidate demonstrates adequate merit, they reserve the right to abstain from granting the award.

Materials Chemistry Award

For a significant achievement in Materials Chemistry (up to 15 years post PhD or equivalent career experience).

When nomination/applying, you will be required to:

  • upload a copy of the nominee's CV in PDF format
  • provide a brief summary (maximum 300 words) describing the achievements of the nominee/candidate in the development and/or application of a branch of science associated with materials chemistry.
  • list up to five career-based publications associated with research into the development and/or application of a branch of science associated with materials chemistry.   • detail the nominee's contributions to the scientific community (including, but not limited to the RACI and the Materials Chemistry Division). For a significant achievement by a young materials chemist (career ≤ 5 years).

  • provide a brief summary (maximum 300 words) describing the achievements of the nominee/candidate in the development and/or application of a branch of science associated with materials chemistry.
  • list up to five career-based publications associated with research into the development and/or application of a branch of science associated with materials chemistry.
