Electrochemistry Divisional Awards

The Electrochemistry Division of The Royal Australian Chemical Institute awards individuals to acknowledge their contributions.

Currently, nominations for this division are not being accepted.

Notification will be sent to members once nominations reopen in the future.

Bruno Breyer Medal

The Breyer Medal and Lecture commemorates Dr Bruno Breyer (1900 – 1967) who was born in Czechoslovakia, educated in Germany, and later became a pioneer of AC polarography in Australia.

The medal is awarded for internationally-recognised contributions in the field of electrochemistry.

Nominations should provide an assessment of the nominee's work and list relevant publications.

The nominee must consent in writing to the nomination.

RACI Electrochemistry Medals are periodically awarded at meetings of the division.

Nominations are to be submitted online (link on this page).

Members will be advised when nominations are open for submission.

Following the deadline, no additional applications or nominations for the award will be considered.

If the selection committee determines that no candidate demonstrates adequate merit, they reserve the right to abstain from granting the award.
