Chemistry Supervisor of the Year (Established, Early Career/Mid Career)
In recognition of an outstanding Supervisor in the Chemistry field within Victorian Schools, Universities, TAFE Institutions or Industry.
Key Dates:
- Applications open: 1 September
- Submissions must be received by: 4 October (5pm)
- Outcomes announced: By 14 October
- All award winners will be invited to attend the Awards Night of the Victorian Branch to receive their Award.
The RACI is pleased to invite members from Victorian Schools, Universities, Industry and TAFE Institutions to apply for this award, or to nominate a colleague with whom you have worked professionally, for example through their involvement in a chemistry association. Self‑nominations are also strongly encouraged!
It is important to note that there are two ‘Supervisor of the Year Awards’. One for early-mid career chemists, and one for established chemists (> 10 years post most recent degree). This is a recent change to the Supervisor Awards in order ensure applicants are assessed relative to opportunity (i.e. avoid comparison of supervisors with two and twenty years of experience).
Eligibility:
- Nominations can be made by a colleague of the applicant, or individuals may self-nominate.
- It is expected that the nominator will inform the nominee of their nomination
- Award applicants need to be a member of the RACI to qualify for the Award
- Nominators do not need to be RACI members
- Named applicant must be working in the nominated job title at the time of application submission
- Please adhere to the word limits identified in the assessment criteria.
- Applicants may be working as supervisors in Schools, Industry, University (e.g. supervising postgraduate students) or TAFE
